This Privacy Policy explains how the Trackify mobile application (“Trackify”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use it. Trackify is a local-first habit, mood, and focus (Pomodoro) tracker developed by Erge Akova (“the developer”). You can use Trackify without creating an account.
The developer is the data controller for the limited data described below. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
Your habit names, notes, mood entries, reminders, and Pomodoro sessions are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData. If you enable iCloud, this content is synced through your own private Apple iCloud account (CloudKit). This content is never sent to the developer or any third party and is not readable by us.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. We log anonymous, aggregated events such as completing a habit, starting a Pomodoro, changing the theme, or completing onboarding. We collect only counts, scores, and feature flags — never the content of your habits or moods (titles or notes). This includes approximate, non-precise region derived from your IP address by Google.
We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports, device model, operating system version, and basic performance data so we can find and fix problems. These reports do not contain your habit or mood content.
We use Google AdMob to display ads. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect device information, the advertising identifier (IDFA, only with your permission), ad interaction data (such as ads shown and clicked), and coarse location derived from your IP address. AdMob may share certain information with its advertising partners. See AdMob’s data practices below.
We and our partners may process device-level identifiers, including the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA) when you grant App Tracking Transparency permission, and a Firebase installation identifier used for analytics. These are not linked to your real-world identity because Trackify has no account.
Where the GDPR or equivalent laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
On iOS, before any tracking we ask for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you will see non-personalized ads and the app works exactly the same.
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we present a consent message (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) before serving ads, allowing you to consent or refuse. For users in regulated U.S. states (such as California), we provide a “Privacy Options / Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” control inside the app’s Settings.
We never use your habit or mood data to target ads.
Trackify relies on the following third parties, whose handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase Analytics | Anonymous usage analytics | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase Crashlytics | Crash & performance diagnostics | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Advertising | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| Apple iCloud / CloudKit | Private sync of your data | apple.com/legal/privacy |
Our service providers (Google, Apple) may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. These providers use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required by law.
Your content remains on your device and in your iCloud until you delete it. Analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to Firebase’s standard retention settings. Advertising data is retained by Google and its partners according to their policies.
You can delete all of your Trackify data at any time from Settings → Reset All Data. Because Trackify has no account, there is nothing for the developer to delete on a server. Data synced to iCloud is controlled by you through your Apple ID and can be managed in iOS Settings. You can change or withdraw advertising consent at any time from the app.
EEA, UK & Switzerland (GDPR): you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California & other U.S. states: you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising via the in-app Privacy Options control. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any right, contact us at the address in Section 14.
Trackify is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad content is restricted to a general-audience rating.
Your content is protected by your device’s security and your Apple ID/iCloud protections. Data transmitted to our service providers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we rely on industry-standard safeguards.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. For any questions or requests regarding this policy or your data, contact: dev.ergeakova@gmail.com.
